Maurachalm1,620 m (1 - 2 hours)
The Maurachalm is the northernmost mountain hut in the valley open to the public. It can be reached along the forest path from the Sonnegg bridge (approx. 2 hour). However, the most comfortable way to the hut is from the top stations of the Alpendorf Cable Car and the Grafenbergbahn Cable Car in Wagrain (each approx. 1 hour). The owners spoil their guests with home-made delicacies and especially-fine schapps, such as elderberry or rowanberry. There's also lots of music and singing.
Hiking destinations: Sonntagskogel, Kitzstein, various nearby alms.
