The Ellmau Valley is the largest of the numerous side valleys of the Großarl Valley. To the rear at the valley head next to a spacious car park lies Grund, the home alm of the Promegg farmers. From here a constantly climbing alpine path leads up to the Filzmoosalm, which can be reached after approx. 1 hour's walking time.
Hiking destinations: Draugstein, Filzmoossattel and Filmooshörndl, Tappenkar Lake, etc. Those wishing to spend the night here, will enjoy a cosy hut evening before going to bed. (Overnight accommodation for 25 persons).
