Draugsteinalm-Schrambachhütte1,778 m (1 1/2 hours)
The Draugstein is an unusual mountain for the valley. Along with the Schuhflicker and the Höllwand it counts among the few limestone mountains in the valley. At the foot of the Draugsteins lie the two Draugstein alms. The unpoilt path is definately worthwhile! The Schrambachhütte is the right-hand hut when looking from below. The owners, Hans und Maria, are always have time for questions and interesting stories. They can tell all about healing mountain herbs and roots and often treat smaller ailments themselves. The wooden platter snacks consist of ham, sausage and seven different types of cheese, lovingly produced by the hut owner from the strong alpine milk. Overnight accommodation available (10 bunk bends and dormitory with mattresses).
