Breitenebenalm1,420 m (3/4 of an hour from the car park) closed on Tuesdays
The Breitenebenalm is a popular hiking and day trip destination whatever the weather. Get there along the alpine path from the Breiteneben car park (approx. ¾ of an hour). Access for cars, taxis and mountain bikers available along the private road to the hut. Lovely sun terrace, children's playground, small animals, ponies, game reserve, rustic taverns such as "Adlerhorst"(eyrie) with open fireplace, "Almstube" (museum) and snug. Traditional dishes from the local kitchen, cake and strudel specialities. Parties and events also possible in the evening when booked in advance.
Hiking destinations: Penkkopf, Kitzstein, Karseggalm, Unterwandalm, Großwildalm, Kleinarlerhütte, Ellmaualm, Saukaralm, Loosbühelalm, Weissalm, Filzmoosalm.
