A walking destination in any weather is the Bachalm, which was newly-built in 1992. Centrepiece of the hut is the open fireplace in the kitchen. The hut can be reached along the Bach access road. You can even drive up as far as the barrier. Carry on along the forest road past the Hasler Heimalm (not open to the public) through the timber forest to the Bachalm, which is also a magnet for mountain bikers.
