Aigenalm-Mandlhütte

1,342 m (1 1/4 hours)

Aigenalm-Mandlhütte

The Mandlhütte is a much-loved hiking destination for young and old. The hut nestles wonderfully situated in the rear Aigenalm Valley and is easily and comfortably accesible in a walking time of approx. 1 1/4 hours. At the path fork between the Paulhütte and Mandlhütte the hut is still not visible.  However, the efforts of the 10-15 minute uphill climb are made worthwhile with a hearty snack at the end. Water holds magical attraction for children and it's therefore no wonder, that they enjoy playing and making little barrages by the waterwheel, which is still in use to stir butter. The Aigenalmgebiet makes an excellent base for hikes on the Pucher, the Schmalzscharte, the Frauenkogel and the Gamskarkogel. Particularly popular are also the circular hikes to the afore-mentioned peaks with descent via the Bachalm or the Tofernalm to Hüttschlag.
